SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus) Fundraising Efforts

Despite the annual inspections and diligent testing of our breathing apparatus equipment, Ferndale Volunteer Department recently had an incident where one of our firefighter's SCBA equipment failed to work during a routine training. Thankfully this was only a training, not an incident where he was in more serious danger.

Due to this incident and being diligent about meeting the compliance goals of the "Firefighter's Association", Ferndale Volunteer Fire Department recently replaced all of our firefighter's SCBA's. We aquired 10 new airpacks, masks and oxygen bottles and are so grateful to have equipment that will provide superior protection for our volunteers. Unfortunately, we had not budgeted for this large of an expense all at once.

We are so grateful for the volunteers and community members who support our department, and have for many years.  The support you have offered and continue to offer will help cover the cost of these lifesaving devices.
